AN EXPERIENCED TEAM

Established in April 2018, we are a full-service land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering and urban design firm located in Frederick, Maryland.  The foundation of the firm is based on the broad knowledge and experience of our founding partners.  Collectively our partners have over 62 years of experience land entitlements and development, master planning, landscape architecture, and project management.

We focus on intimate client contact and understand the importance of creating partnerships.  Our project management is organized to ensure that a senior member of the firm is assigned to the project from inception through completion.

Donavon Corum

AICP, RLA, LEED-AP

Donavon is responsible for directing the firm’s work on redevelopment, urban infill projects,  feasibility studies, conceptual and master plans, land entitlements, and community participation. His project focus is to find creative design solutions and oversee the design team.

Donavon's extensive design experience and skills were developed and honed over the years shepherding local level and international projects of all sizes.  He has participated on a national level as a member of the American Planning Association’s (APA) National Infrastructure Investment Task Force, National Home Builder Association Speaker, Presenter and Judge.

Matthew J. Leakan

RLA, AICP

Matt has over 25 years of experience in the land planning industry and currently serves as our Director of Planning. Throughout his career, Matt has guided diverse projects from vision to reality, applying a blend of creativity, technical knowledge, and strategic foresight.

Believing that great planning is both an art and a science, Matt combines creativity and strategy to navigate complex entitlement challenges and unlock the full potential of land value. In addition to his thoughtful, innovative solutions, Matt has shaped projects that balance vision, market viability, and long-term success. In addition to entitlements, Matt has also published policy papers for the local region, entitled ‘On Wedges and Corridors’, and a strategic vesting piece titled ‘Early Vesting Strategies in Maryland.’

Rick Curry

Rick Curry brings decades of expertise in civil engineering and surveying to projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic. With a background spanning both large-scale, high-profile projects and smaller, specialized developments, Rick combines precise technical expertise with a genuine dedication to cultivating long-term client partnerships—ensuring each project benefits from both strategic insight and personal attention.

Over his career, he has successfully led projects for municipal, county, state, and private clients. His deep knowledge of zoning regulations, land-use planning, and site design, combined with a reputation for responsiveness and integrity, make him a trusted partner in bringing complex projects from concept to completion.
